Chameleon
Woo hoo! Welcome to the party! Life is too short to not have fun and enjoy the moment. Chameleons live by this statement, making them fun people to spend time with. They’re outgoing, charming, warm, and friendly. They make friends easily and have never met a stranger. Their enthusiasm is catching, making them good at motivating others.

But Chameleons do have a dark side when they’re the boss. Chameleons are people pleasers, and that can make them avoid conflict by agreeing with everyone. Chameleons will complain about the newest company initiative with one group of people, then walk down the hall and sing the initiatives praises with the next group. It’s confusing to say the least. And when you work for a Chameleon, you can’t be confident that what they’re saying is what they really mean.

Strengths:
  • They’re the life of the office (and the party).
  • They’re optimistic, which keeps those around them happy.
  • They adapt to those around them, making others feel comfortable.
Weaknesses:
  • Chameleons often over-promise and under-deliver.
  • It's difficult to provide solid direction when they’re trying to keep everyone happy.
  • People look to them for leadership, but they give entertainment instead.
If you’re a Chameleon, make sure to attend the Leadership Instinct Simulcast on May 5 to learn how to tame your negative instincts and use your exceptional social skills to become an even better leader. And you’ll get to network with your peers and have a good time too!
